It’s a beautiful day!!! Today is August 24th which also happens to be my sister, Jackie’s birthday. She is another year older, wiser, and the coolest mom ever!!! I can’t believe how fast we are growing up. I can’t believe all of the changes we have gone through, with getting married, her having Joshua ,and her decision to become a full-time mom. My sister and I are extremely close in age and relationship. She is my best friend!!!
Jackie, I love you more than words can say. You are an amazing women, wife, and mom. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you. I know you can be hard on me at times but I know it’s for my own good. I know I was a little mean to you when we were little, like put my carrots on your plate and tell Mommy you did not finish your food or wear your clothes to school and sneak them back in your room so that you would not find out
I can imagine as I am writing you this post Daddy is probably calling you to play Las Mañanitas as he does for each one of our birthdays. I feel so blessed to be called your little sister!!!
A sister can be seen as someone who is both ourselves and very much not ourselves – a special kind of double.

Her mom called me and asked me if I would be interested in shooting her daughter, Brenda’s Senior pictures? How fun and exciting, I thought to myself as I was in the car with Daniel driving home. I asked her about her daughter and what they had in mind for her session. I got off the phone and squealed like a little pig. I was so excited because this would be my very first high school senior session.
Last week I meet Brenda and her family in Downtown Duluth for her session. As soon as I saw Brenda I knew we were going to have a good ol’ time. Not only is this girl gorgeous and has the most awesome eyes ever, but she is super sweet and was up to anything. Thankfully the weather was not that bad. It has been really HOT in Atlanta the past few weeks.!!! As we walked around Duluth we started talking about high school, boys, college, prom and so on….. I love hearing about high school, and brings back memories. I can’t believe it’s been 8 years since I’ve been out of high school. Time sure flies by when you are having fun!!!
Brenda thank you sooo much for choosing me to take your Senior pictures. Not only are you beautiful and smart but you have a BIG heart!!! I know that God has nothing but good things in store for you, I can’t wait to see where He takes you!!! Have fun this year and enjoy every moment!!!

I just received something in the mail that I have been waiting for. Want to know what it is? Well, it’s my brand new Kelly Moore Bag. I can’t wait to use this bag. If you are thinking what is the big deal about this bag well let me just fill you in. Not only is this bag super stylish but it also holds all of my necessities while I am out on a shoot. I can store my camera, lenses, flash, keys, IPhone, water, batteries, CF cards, lipgloss and so forth.
Not only is this bag great for a photographer, but it’s also a great bag for moms. This bag comes with different compartments that are separated by velcro dividers, mom’s you can store bottles, diapers, wipes, etc… I especially can’t wait to take this bag with me in a couple of weeks to Cancun, Mexico. Daniel and I will be shooting our first destination wedding!!!! I forgot to tell you all that these bags are available for men.
Here are a few pictures I took of my new Bag

The funny thing is they both lived in Atlanta, they went to rival high schools, and were both in the marching band. But the ironic part of this story is they never meet, until they went off to college. Who would have guessed that moving 250 miles to attend Tennessee State University would bring Brandon and Christina together? As soon as Brandon saw Christina he knew there was something special about her. He was determined to get to know her. As many times as he tried Christina was not interested. One day Christina needed help moving into her new apartment so Brandon offered to help. It was then that Christina began to see Brandon in a new way. She began to see a different side of him and that is when she decided to give Brandon a chance.
This was my first time meeting these two and I just have to say it felt like they were long time friends. I had a great time last Sunday afternoon shooting their engagement session at Stone Mountain park. The day was filled with love in the air. Their love for each other amazes me, the way he is mesmerized by her, the way he touches her face, and the way he kisses her forehead. To say I am thrilled to shoot their wedding would be an understatement. I am ecstatic to be shooting their wedding this October at the Carlyle House. Brandon and Christina thank you!!!! Enjoy your pictures

Brandon loves to play golf. So I thought it would be fun to get some shots of them playing.

Ok, so where do I start? So Daniel has been away for training this whole week and every time he is away I start to think. Think about what you ask? About everything from, Am I a good wife, What I can do better to grow my business, How I can grow as a person, and most importantly What God is doing in my life. I tend to think a lot and over rationalize things. I tend to get a head of myself and can be a bit dramatic.
I can’t believe it but Daniel is leaving in a few months for training and then for Afghanistan for one whole year. This is something he has wanted to do for a long time but never got the opportunity to do it until last year. I am so grateful for my husband. There is no other man like him. He is kind, supportive, giving and FINE!!! I don’t know if I could have done this without your constant love and support, Baby. This is going to be our first deployment and I have no idea what to expect. But one thing I do know is that God is with us and he has EVERYTHING under control!! I know that the decision we are making now will be worth it in the end.
I started to ponder about how much I have grown as a photographer. Last year around this time is when I decided to pursue photography. I had no idea what I was doing or where I was going. I am amazed at how much I have learned and grown in the past year. Not just as a photographer but as a person. I am so grateful to all of the people that have helped me over the year. I don’t know where I would be without you all. God has definitely had his hand over this business, and I can’t wait to see where I will be next year. I know I was supposed to be posting pictures but I will have them up next week. I promise
***Hope you all have a great weekend!!!***

The room at Flint Hill was filled with excitement and the rays of the sun. Paulina had been looking forward to this day for a looooong time and it was finally here. All the tears, the planning, the emotions, were for this exact moment. Her bridesmaids made sure she had everything she needed. They were right by her side and whenever she needed something they were on top of their game. I knew the day would be filled with nothing but sure bliss. The forecast had called for rain, but I knew God had better plans for this day. It was hot and sunny!!!
Paulina was a beautiful bride, and when I say Beautiful I mean ‘B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L”!!! When she walked down the aisle, there was something different about her. She walked with a sense of knowing what the rest of her life held for her. She knew it was going to be good, to know that she and Emilio were making the life long commitment to love, honor, and cherish each other for better or worse in the good and bad times. As she walked down the aisle his eyes were glued to her. The way he looked at her was priceless; I bet he was thinking, “I am the luckiest guy ever”!
Emilio and Paulina I know you two are enjoying your time in Hawaii, waiting with anticipation to see your wedding pictures. I just want to say, “Thank You” for allowing me to document this day. I love you both and can’t wait until you get back.

Don’t you just love her Make-Up? Her make-up was done by Nicole from The Make Up Box. Love her work. She is uber fabulous!!

This shot was taken by Kelly

This shoot was taken by my husband, Daniel.

Here is another shot that make me go ohlala!!!! Thank you Kelly for this awesome shot. I don’t know what I would of done without you!

I think this is one of my favorite pictures! If I could freeze the way he is looking at her I would. I love it!!

This past Sunday, I shot a very good friend of mine’s wedding, Emilio and Paulina. Here is a picture from the wedding . I am in the process of editing these pictures, I will post more pictures soon.
