About Evie Perez Photography

Welcome! I’m Evie. Discovering creative and spiritual expression through my camera was just short of miraculous. As a Christian, I have always believed in living life to the fullest! Going and doing whatever God called me to—living, feeling and communicating all that I experienced in my soul and finally finding a way to share that with others. I am a lifestyle, natural light photographer, that captures organic moments as they happen. After a trip to Europe in 2006 I stumbled on the art of photography. After wandering streets and ancient places filled with images that envoked emotion and beauty,I found myself so inspired, looking at life thru a new lens filled with purpose and passion. While working a separate full time job, I began taking photography classes and meeting nationally recognized photographers who continue to give me insight, direction and friendship. I have a wonderful husband and a wonderful family that supports my dream to be a full time photographer some day soon. That glance, that giggle, the way the light hits you on that special day…that’s what I’m here for. Capturing moments that so deeply touch someone’s heart, split seconds in time that can be frozen, yet felt for years to come…that is what Evie Perez Photography is about. Let me capture those moments for you. Call or email me at: 678.622.2339 or evie@evieperezphotography.com

PIEDMONT PARK: MICHAEL & SANDRA

Thursday, April 19th, 2012

Mike and Sandra met through a very special friend.  Mike is from Scotland and moved to the States for a job opportunity. He briefly lived in California and then moved to Atlanta. Who would have known that Atlanta would be the place he would soon meet his future wife?! Mike proposed to Sandra on the hills of Scotland. She was caught by surprise and not expecting a proposal. I loved spending the afternoon with these two. They were full of laughter, worked the camera and just plain fun to be around.  And did I mention Mike’s Scottish accent? I just loved it!   These two are tying the knot in Cancun later this Spring. I am so excited to shoot their wedding as well as spend time in the sun.

What can I say? Sandra has great taste in shoes. I adore shoes so when I saw these I fell in love.

I love the next four series of photos. Sandra told me that her and Mike are taking salsa lessons. Here are a few pictures of them busting some of their moves.

Sandra, you are beautiful from the inside out!

Thank you delicious light!

I just love this picture!

Again, thank you both for allowing me to be a part of your special day! I enjoyed spending the afternoon with you two and know that only bright things are in store for you both! Here’s to good memories and many more years of fun! In honor of Sandra’s birthday (which is today) I thought it would only be fitting to blog her engagement pictures today.

ATLANTA ENGAGEMENT: CALVIN & TANIESHA

Friday, March 30th, 2012

Last Saturday was the start of engagement/wedding season for me. I spent the afternoon with Calvin and Taniesha for their engagement session. We spent the day doing what they love. Hanging out and having fun! These two are getting married in June and I just know that their wedding is going to be just as awesome as they are! I can’t wait to see their ideas come to life with the help of Eliana from EllyB Events.

We started the day near a lake that they use to hang out and feed the ducks. I couldn’t have asked for perfect weather. The forecast was calling for rain and we almost rescheduled their session. I called Calvin and told him I had a feeling we should just continue with our session and not cancel it. He agreed and I am so glad he did!

Calvin and Taniesha meet at work only they don’t work together , they work in the same building. As soon as Calvin laid eyes on her he knew he had to have her. I can see why Calvin saw something special in Taniesha. After spending an afternoon with them I think they are the perfect match for each other. She is such a sweet heart and Calvin makes sure his lady has what she needs.

A SPECIAL thank you goes to Tori Johnson for doing Taniesha’s make up. Love her work!!

Loving Calvin’s fedora hat!

I think this is my favorite picture!!!

I think I will end with this picture! Calvin and Taniesha thank you for choosing me to make your wedding day memeorable. I can’t wait for your special day to get here. I know God has good things in store for what the future holds. The love that you two have for each other is contagious. Enjoy your pictures!!

KIMBALL HALL: MATT & BONNIE

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

I am so sorry I have been lacking in posts. Well I have a good explanation! With moving into the new house, working my full time job, and finding out Daniel and I are expecting life has been a little crazy!! Yes you read that right, “WE ARE HAVING A BABY”!! I am still in disbelief that there is a little baby inside of me. So far I have been feeling really good besides being extra tired.

Enough about me (will do a pregnancy post soon) and onto the couple. I had the privilege of second shooting for Rosanna Marie at Kimball Hall. This was my first time at Kimball Hall and I just about died. This place is gorgeous and Julie, well lets just say she makes sweet tea extra sweet! She took great care of us and made sure we had what we needed. Bonnie and Matt were so much fun! The day could of not been more perfect than it was. They were surrounded with the ones they loved and were both so natural in front of the camera. Rosanna, thank you so much for having me shoot with you! I enjoyed every minute of it!!

I started my day with shooting the guys first. They have it so easy! Guys don’t have to go through all of the preparations we do. Here are candid shots of Matt getting ready.

This is part of the decor in the bridal suite. Need I say more?

Here is Bonnie getting ready. Isn’t’ she just gorgeous?

Agh..again gorgeous!!!

I thought this was so sweet! Bonnie and Matt opted to have a first look. Here is Bonnie’s dad taking her to see Matt for the very first time.

Love her expression. So funny…

It’s time for the ceremony to start!

I will end with this picture.

CAUBLE PARK: DOUGHERTY FAMILY SESSION

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

I got to spend an awesome evening with one of the funniest and sweetest families ever. Hey they even invited me over to have dinner with them. Nikkea is the owner of Trio Makeup & Hair Design. You may remember hearing about her from Daniel and Vero’s engagement session. She was the creative genius that did Vero’s hair and make up and made her look more beautiful than she already is. I can’t say enough good things about this family. They were so fun to capture and full of laughs.

We started their session at Cauble Park in Acworth.

Check out the cutie on the left! They brought their poodle, Daisy along for pictures.

I just love the lighting in this picture. Daddy’s girl.

Momma and her boys.

Nikkea, thank you again for having me be a part of your evening. I had a complete blast with your beautiful family. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!! You are a beautiful person inside and out :)

LITTLE 5 POINTS: MARLON & CARMEN

Tuesday, November 8th, 2011

Last Sunday I spent the afternoon with Marlon, Carmen, and baby Abias. Camen and I used to be in the same small group together. We go way back and it’s amazing to see how much our lives have changed since the good ol’ days. Don’t get me wrong the days are still good…or should I say better. I can’t be more excited for these two. Baby Abias will be here next month and I have no doubt that these two will be the best parents evah! They wanted an urban feel for their pictures so what better place than to choose Little 5 Points for their session.

I can’t begin to tell you how beautiful pregnant women are. I think this is the most special gift ever. Carmen you are just too gorgeous!

Again, thank you both for spending the afternoon with me and putting up with my lameness. I am so happy for the both of you. I can’t wait to see baby Abias and watch him grow as you two guide him. God has amazing things in store for your family.

CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF MARRIAGE

Monday, October 24th, 2011

I can’t imagine how it feels to be married for 10 years. Just think that’s half of 20?  One thing I believe it does is solidifies your marriage and who you are. Steve and Marnie are celebrating their 10 year anniversary next month and wanted to celebrate with pictures. I found this quote and thought it would be perfect for the two of them.

I didn’t marry you because you were perfect. I didn’t even
marry you because I loved you. I married you because you
gave me a promise. That promise made up for your faults.
And the promise I gave you made up for mine. Two imperfect
people got married and it was the promise that made the marriage.
And when our children were growing up, it wasn’t a house that
protected them; and it wasn’t our love that protected them – it was that
promise.
Thornton Wilder, The Skin of Our Teeth

Here is one of my favorite pictures!!! Look how good looking you both are.

Marnie, where do I begin. Girl, you are just beautiful!

This Bible was used during their wedding ceremony. I love it when clients bring items that have a special meaning to them.

Isn’t this quilt beautiful? This was made by Marnie’s grandmother.

I will leave you all with this last picture. Again, thank you, thank you Steve and Marnie for having me be a part of this special day! I can’t wait to see where you all with be in the next 10 years. Never stop falling in love and here’s to many more years!!

MIDTOWN ATLANTA: ASHLEY & KATIE

Tuesday, October 11th, 2011

I love, love. I am a hopeless romantic if that makes any sense. Last week I meet up with Ashley & Katie in Midtown Atlanta. These two have been married for two years and by the looks of it you would have thought they just got married. Their love is so genuine for each other which made my job a lot easier. I love to capture couples the way they are as if no one is looking. As we were talking, I found out that Katie and I went to the same High School. How ironic is that?

Katie is the owner of Boukates, a floral design company for weddings and special events. Brides if you are in need of a florist, definitely check her out!

So, Katie saw this and wanted a picture of the two of them in the tress. I loved the idea and was for it. I love how it turned out. Here are these two just having fun!

This is one of my favorite! So sweet…

Thank you light for being the best!

Thank you both for a great time and going with the flow! I had a blast with the two of you :)

THE DISCOVERY OF LOVE

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

I just wanted to share with you all a little preview of what I am working on…

The most wonderful of all things in life, I believe, is the discovery of another human being with whom one’s relationship has a glowing depth, beauty and joy as the years increase. This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvelous thing, it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It is a sort of Divine accident.” – Sir Hugh Seymour Walpole (1884-1941) English Novelist, Critic, Dramatist
