About Evie Perez Photography

Welcome! I’m Evie. Discovering creative and spiritual expression through my camera was just short of miraculous. As a Christian, I have always believed in living life to the fullest! Going and doing whatever God called me to—living, feeling and communicating all that I experienced in my soul and finally finding a way to share that with others. I am a lifestyle, natural light photographer, that captures organic moments as they happen. After a trip to Europe in 2006 I stumbled on the art of photography. After wandering streets and ancient places filled with images that envoked emotion and beauty,I found myself so inspired, looking at life thru a new lens filled with purpose and passion. While working a separate full time job, I began taking photography classes and meeting nationally recognized photographers who continue to give me insight, direction and friendship. I have a wonderful husband and a wonderful family that supports my dream to be a full time photographer some day soon. That glance, that giggle, the way the light hits you on that special day…that’s what I’m here for. Capturing moments that so deeply touch someone’s heart, split seconds in time that can be frozen, yet felt for years to come…that is what Evie Perez Photography is about. Let me capture those moments for you. Call or email me at: 678.622.2339 or evie@evieperezphotography.com

MY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

Ok, so where do I start? I had the BEST weekend ever!! Not only was it my birthday this past Friday but I was surrounded with people I love. My wonderful husband attempted to send me flowers but for some reason they ended up in Nashville, TN instead of Atlanta, Ga. My husband is getting ready for a one year deployment to Afghanistan in October. So for him to be here with me made my birthday extra special.

I went to get my hair done to surprise him. Only it wasn’t a surprise because I told him about it. For some strange reason I am not good at keeping surprises. I get sooo excited that I have a hard time holding it in. He loves it when my hair is red and since I haven’t colored my hair for a few years I thought it would be a nice surprise for him. We meet at the mall and as soon as Daniel saw me he had a big smile on his face!! The look on his face was priceless. He just keep staring at me as if it was the first time we meet. We went off to meet my sister and nephew for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. After dinner we walked around the mall and he took me to Anthropologie to buy me whatever I wanted. I love everything about this store. They have the cutest clothes and the décor of the store make me droll every time I walk in. I had a hard time choosing what I wanted but eventually found this adorable black jacket. I can’t wait to wear it in the fall. When we got home Daniel had a little surprise waiting for me on the dinning room table. What was it?? They were pretty bouquets of flowers he had bought me to replace the ones I never got.

On Sunday we headed over to Piedmont Park to take advantage of the gorgeous weather we had. We stopped by to pick up some cupcakes from Belly General Store and headed over to the park. We spent the rest of the afternoon nestled in each other’s arms, talking, laughing, getting on each other’s nerves, enjoying the breeze as it brushed against our skin, and enjoying life. It’s moments like this that I am going to miss when he leaves. I felt happy and content. I am writing to remind myself how much fun we have. We spent Labor Day with friends and family at the lake. We had an awesome weekend and what a great way to end my birthday weekend!!! What makes you happy?? Hope you all had an awesome weekend. What did you do?

What do you think about my new hair???

Enjoying my cupcake.

One last thing. I wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to those that filled my Facebook wall with Birthday wishes and kind words. It meant so much to me :)

Have a great Tuesday!!
